Suspected Prowler Arrested Outside Miley Cyrus' Studio City Home
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A suspected prowler accused of lurking outside the home of actress-singer Miley Cyrus was behind bars on Saturday.
Police responded to the pop star's Studio City home after receiving a call around 3:48 a.m. of a man trying to get inside.
Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Brian Wendling told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO that the man told security guards that he would leave after they threatened to call police.

"They start to walk away. They hear a loud, crashing noise and it's as though he ran into the wall adjacent to the door trying to make entry," Wendling said.
Louisa Hodge, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, says Cyrus was not home at the time.
The man, however, told those inside the home that she was expecting him and began to light candles outside.
"He claimed he was married to Ms. Cyrus and that they'd been acquaintances for five years and that they frequently talked via the Internet," Wendling said. "None of that was true."
Video from the scene shows police on scene arresting the suspect who was wearing a heart-shaped ornament made of rope over his chest.
Hodge says the man identified himself to police as Jason Luis Rivera.
Police say the man initially tried to flee.
"He began running down the hill eastbound… inside the property line. We made entry into the property. We gave him some commands, didn't respond. So we went ahead and we said we were going to Taser him in order to try to get him to comply and of course, he went ahead and did so," said LAPD Officer J. Ransom.
According to police, Rivera has an extended criminal history and is not from the area.
At the time of his arrest, police say Rivera did not have any weapons that would pose any serious danger. They did, however, confiscate a pair of small, nail clipper-like scissors.
Rivera was booked on suspicion of trespassing.
