Suspect Sought In Slaying Of Anaheim Man
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect linked to the shooting death of a 38-year-old man in Anaheim this month.
Twenty-eight-year-old Mario Alberto Flores is being sought in the Oct. 18 slaying of Angel Jesus Lopez Valladares, Anaheim police Lt. Tim Schmidt told City News Service.
Authorities say Flores may have been involved in an argument with Valladares in the 600 block of East Eton Place that escalated into a brawl.
Flores, who investigators say has been involved in gang activity and has a history of drug dealing, was on parole when he and three other men allegedly beat and fatally shot Valladares.
Police declined to discuss further details of the alleged altercation while the search for the suspect continues.
Authorities said Flores is five feet, eight inches tall, weighs approximately 215 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He also has "SA" tattooed on his neck and a star below his left ear, Schmidt told CNS.
He was last seen driving a 1985 blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a California license plate of 519538W and has family in Anaheim, Sana Ana and Salt Lake City.
Authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Flores' co-defendants, 29-year-old Jose Enrique Canul, 27-year-old Alberto Canul Robles and 19-year-old Joel Avila, face murder charges with sentencing enhancements for gang activity and street terrorism.
They are scheduled for arraignment Nov. 15.
