2 Suspects Sought In Glendale Subway, 7-Eleven Armed Robberies
GLENDALE (CBS) — Police are asking for the public's help to identify two men wanted in separate robberies of a Subway restaurant and a 7-Eleven in Glendale at gunpoint.
The first robbery occurred on May 30 at the Subway located in the 800 block of North Pacific Avnue, Det. Mike Wenz said.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic of light-skinned black man, initially entered the restaurant around 12:30 a.m. and asked an employee for the time. He left, then returned at 1 a.m. and ordered a sandwich, Wenz said.
"He then pulled out money as if to pay, and when an employee opened the cash register, the suspect pulled out a black semi‐auto handgun and reached into the register taking the cash," said Wenz.
The suspect then calmly left the store. Police believe he is around 25 years old, 6 feet tall and has black hair and green eyes.
The second robbery took place just before 4 a.m. on June 4 at the 7-Eleven located in the 800 block of Glenoaks Boulevard.
The suspect, wearing a black ski mask, pants and jacket, ran into the store in a crouching position and pointed the gun at the victim's feet and stated, "Give me the F***ing money. Throw the money on the floor," according to Wenz.
The suspect grabbed the money and then fled. His clothing was later found stashed nearby, Wenz said.
