Suspect Leads Officers On 3 County Chase Ending At Camp Pendleton
CAMP PENDLETON (CBSLA.com) — A pursuit suspect was arrested Thursday morning at Camp Pendleton after leading authorities on a three county chase.
The chase started around 4:10 a.m. in San Bernardino after a wrong way driver was reported to authorities, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The suspect lead CHP officers on a pursuit on the 57, 605, 405 and 5 freeways before smashing through a gate at Camp Pendleton.
Speeds hit 100 mph, according to officials.
The suspect was ordered out of the vehicle after it stopped near the barracks around 6 a.m. He was tased and arrested.
The suspect is not a marine and is not associated with the base, Camp Pendleton Cpt. Edwards said.
No injuries were reported.
