Suspect In USC Shootings Charged With 4 Counts Of Attempted Murder
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man suspected of shooting four people on the USC campus last week has been charged with four counts of attempted murder.
Brandon Spencer, 20, of Inglewood, is expected to be arraigned Monday afternoon at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
Spencer is accused of opening fire outside a party sponsored by the Black Student Assembly at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center on Oct. 31.
Four people, including former Crenshaw High School football star Geno Hall, were injured.
The complaint filed against Spencer by prosecutors alleges that the shooting took place to benefit a street gang.
If convicted, Spencer could face life in prison.
