Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting On 91 Freeway
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Anaheim police on Friday announced an arrest in a shooting death last month on the 91 Freeway.
David Arzate Carbrera, 45, of Anaheim was booked at the Anaheim Police Department on suspicion of murder just after 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Just before 8:10 p.m. July 14, Anaheim police, the CHP and Anaheim Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a possible shooting call on the westbound 91 Freeway east of the 57 Freeway.
When officials arrived, they found four people in a white Ford F-150 with two of them suffering from gunshot wounds.
Agustin Villegas, 32, of Anaheim was a front passenger and declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old man, also sustained gunshot wounds and is expected to survive.
Two teens, ages 13 and 15, were in the backseat and uninjured. Police said they were the dead man's sons.
Carbrera is also suspected of possessing a controlled substance and a loaded firearm.
Detectives have not revealed a motive in the shooting.
His bail is set at $ 1 million.
