Suspect Arrested After Pursuit In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The LAPD has arrested a shooting suspect responsible for leading officers on a chase near downtown Los Angeles.
Officials say the shooting and pursuit began near Maple Ave. and Adams Blvd. around 1 p.m.
The driver of a silver-colored Ford Expedition, who allegedly threw a gun out of the vehicle during the chase, came to a stop on 27th Street just west of Maple Avenue about 1:35 p.m., and he got out the vehicle and face-down on the pavement to be arrested.
A woman, one of two apparent victims, was taken to a hospital, but she did not appear to be seriously hurt.
