LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Street closures will be in place Sunday due to the Department of Transportation's Herbalife Triathlon.

The DOT is reminding motorists and pedestrians that there will be no crossing points on this year's course.

"The Department of Transportation will be aggressively enforcing all temporary parking restrictions for this event to secure the safety of the participants and to facilitate the movement of traffic around road closures," the agency said in a statement.

Vehicle recovery costs are usually more than $130, not including a $60 citation fee.

Streets in the Venice Beach area are expected to reopen around 9:45 a.m., with all streets reopening at 12 p.m.

There will be no freeway closures.
