Local Street Artist Gets Probation For 'Tastes Like Hate' Display

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A local street artist has been sentenced to probation in connection with a "Tastes Like Hate" message painted on the side of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Torrance.

KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO reports that Manuel Castro Jr. was given three years' probation after entering a no contest plea.

The West Hollywood artist was taken into custody five days after the restaurant was vandalized.

The discovery was made on Aug. 3 at a store located at 18200 Hawthorne Boulevard.

The radio station reported that Castro was protesting the Chick-fil-A president's comments against same sex marriage.
