CHP Makes Contact With Driver Of Porsche That Flew Over Side Of Angeles Crest Highway
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — The California Highway Patrol said Saturday that they have made contact with the driver of a Porsche that was discovered in a ravine in a remote area of La Canada Flintridge.
According to the CHP, the victim suffered injuries consistent with being in an accident. They included a seat belt bruise and a cut on the forehead.
No further details about the driver were immediately available.
The crash on Friday afternoon prompted a search for the driver and/or occupants of the sport utility vehicle which plunged between 100 to 200 feet over the side of the Angeles Crest Highway.
A witness had told the CHP that they saw a man, possibly in his 50s, climb out of the wreckage.
By late Friday evening, crews had the Porsche towed away.
KCBS/KCAL ran the license plate number of the car tracking the car's owner to an address in La Crescenta but no one was home.
