KNX Staff Returns To Building After Report Of Suspicious Package
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police on Tuesday were called to the Miracle Mile building that houses the studios for KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO after a report of a suspicious package.
KNX 1070's Charles Feldman reports the item was reported around 8:24 a.m. after it was found beeping in the second-floor lobby of the building along the 5600 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

At least some tenants in the 27-story building — including staff at KNX 1070 and KFWB 980 — were evacuated shortly afterwards.
KNX 1070 sports anchor Randy Kerdoon tweeted to his followers to "stay tuned while bomb squad checks out ticking".
Kerdoon later corrected his initial report of a "ticking" sound, instead referring to the package as "beeping" and possibly a promotional mailer from the Black Entertainment Network.
The package was eventually determined to contain a clock and building tenants were allowed to return around 10:50 a.m.
KNX temporarily simulcasted its sister station KCBS-740 in the Bay Area during the evacuation, while KFWB 980-AM broadcasted a backup feed.
