Southland Gas Prices Climb For Ninth Straight Day

Data from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service show the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Los Angeles County rose over the weekend for the ninth consecutive day increasing 1.7 cents to $3.061, the most since Aug. 28.

The average price is 8.8 cents more than a week ago, 6.3 cents more than a month ago and 2.4 cents more than this time last year.
The average price had fallen to its lowest point since Feb. 25 on Oct. 1, $2.96, then began increasing the following day.
The Orange County average price also rose for the ninth consecutive day, increasing 1.3 cents to $3.066, the most since Aug. 28.
