Southern California Starbucks Stores To Offer Beer, Wine By The End Of The Year
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Looking for a relaxing place to get a drink? Southern Californians may be able to head to their local Starbucks very soon.
Starbucks announced Monday plans to bring wine, beer and premium food offerings to a handful of Southern California stores by the end of this year. It's a concept they first introduced at its Olive Way location in Seattle in October 2010. The idea has been expanded to stores in Portland, Oregon and soon, to Chicago, Atlanta and Southern California.
Starbucks has not said which Southern California stores are slated to see the change.
Starbucks, along with Burger King and Sonic Corp, are experimenting with alcohol sales in an effort to boost afternoon and evening sales.
