South Gate Police Searching For Groping Suspect
SOUTH GATE (CBS) — Police in South Gate are searching for a man who allegedly fondled at least four females in the area.
Authorities say the latest attack happened Wednesday morning when a woman was grabbed by the waist and groped. The victim then fell to the ground and was able to escape.
The victims range in age from 8 to 28, South Gate police say. In most incidents, groping has been involved but one woman was sexually assaulted.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, possibly in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build.
Officials say the attacks have been concentrated in the areas surrounding South Gate High School and South Gate Elementary School.
Anyone with information is urged to call the South Gate Police Department at (323) 563-5436.
