AMC's 'Talking Dead' Draws Fire With Social Media Posts Some Called Insensitive Following San Bernardino Massacre
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A post on the official account of the after-show for the drama series "The Walking Dead" has drawn some criticism on social media.
The post on the Facebook and Twitter accounts of AMC's "Talking Dead" included a bloodied sheet with the caption: "Office holiday party look, anyone?"
On Twitter, another photo was captioned, "We're definitely wearing this to the office holiday party. #TalkingDead #TWD
"The Walking Dead" is based on the time following a zombie apocalypse.
But some say the post appears to be a very bloody image at an office holiday party and have found it offensive in the wake of the San Bernardino mass shooting.
"Stupid [expletive] post considering what happened in San Bernardino," wrote one user via Facebook.
Another said: "Not a great caption after the events in California" while a third wrote: "Fairly certain the San Bernardino shooting was a Christmas office party."
Yet, others didn't think the post referenced San Bernardino at all, nor found it offensive.
One user said via Facebook: "Calm down people, stop overreacting" while another said: "You can't post anything without offending someone."
The mass shooting in San Bernardino on Dec. 2 claimed 14 lives and wounded 21 others.
