Social Media Lights Up With Reports Of Shooting Star
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Social media lighted up Thursday with reports of a bright green-blue shooting star visible from Ventura to Temecula.
Officials at Vandenberg Air Force Base confirmed they had not launched any sort of rocket or other aircraft.
NORAD reported it was tracking nothing unusual in the area.
Perseid meteors showers in recent weeks have been some of the brightest seen in the Los Angeles area in several years.
