Yogurt Shop Owner Accused Of Kidnapping Faces New Charges
ALHAMBRA (AP) — A Southern California yogurt shop owner who is awaiting trial on accusations that he bound an employee and locked her in a box is facing new charges of possession of child pornography.
The Pasadena Star-News reports that prosecutors added the charge against 37-year-old Robert Yachen Lee after investigators found pornographic images in his computer.
Monterey Park police Lt. Carrie Mazelin said detectives were looking into the origins of the images.
Lee was previously charged with kidnapping for the purpose of rape and attempted murder. Prosecutors alleged that Lee attacked the woman after luring her to a soundproofed storage room. She managed to free herself after the Aug. 24 incident and called police.
