SoCal Woman Gets Early Christmas Gift With $1M Win In Lottery Scratcher
SANTA FE SPRINGS (CBSLA.com) — A Southern California woman has reason to celebrate this holiday season after becoming the latest $1 million winner in the $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers game.
Maria Sanchez claimed her prize Christmas Eve at the lottery's Santa Fe Springs office, officials reported on the California State Lottery website
Sanchez, who described herself as a regular Scratchers player, said she had not yet decided what to do with her winnings.
The winning ticket was sold at an ampm store located on Imperial Highway in Whittier. The retailer is expected to receive a $5,000 bonus, the website stated.
"Overall game odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.50. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1.2 million," the statement said.
