SoCal Gas Prices Soar; Highest Since Fall '08
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose to its highest amount since Oct. 12, 2008 Monday, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.444.

The 12th increase in 13 days pushed the average price 3.9 cents higher than a week ago, 9.2 cents above what it was one month ago and 47.9 cents greater than it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Oct. 11, 2008 today, increasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.44, 3.7 cents more than a week ago, 9.4 cents higher than one month ago and 49.1 cents above what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased 12 of the past 13 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Sunday.
Energy analyst are predicting oil, gas and diesel prices will all move higher in 2011.
