Smart & Final Expands Recall Of Pasta Product Over Labeling Error
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles-based Smart & Final is expanding its recall of certain batches of frozen tortellini because of a labeling error.
The recall, initially announced on April 29, includes La Romanella Tri-Color Cheese Tortellini sold in 2.5-pound sacks.
The company said the bags may contain undeclared wheat, eggs, and milk.
Sacks of the pasta bear the following codes: 020713, 022513, 031113, 031813, 031913 and 040313. The UPC number is 728920130026.
The pasta was distributed to California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada. They were sold at Smart & Final and Cash & Carry stores.
No reports of injuries or illness have been received, Smart & Final said on its website.
Those, who purchased the product, may return it to the location where it was bought for a replacement or refund.
