Small Earthquake Rattles Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBS) — A 2.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded Thursday near Huntington Beach.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 4:13 a.m. temblor struck almost 11 miles beneath the surface.
The earthquake apparently happened along the active Newport-Inglewood fault. There were no reports of injury or damage, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
