Slain Riverside Police Officer Laid To Rest
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Law enforcement from across Southern California paid their final respects on Wednesday to a Riverside police officer who was allegedly shot to death by Christopher Dorner.

A procession for Officer Michael Crain began at 8 a.m. from a local mortuary. Funeral services began at 10:30 a.m. at Groveside Community Church and were followed by his burial at Riverside National Cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Funeral speakers included Supervisor Karen Haverkamp (Riverside PD), Joe Negroni, Rob Frazer (both childhood friends) and Jason Crain (brother), Steve Pounds (Former RPD coworker), John Bacon (USMC Friend) and Crain's wife, Regina.
Crain, 34, was killed in the early morning hours of Feb. 7 while on routine patrol.
According to authorities, the 11-year Riverside Police Department veteran was ambushed and fatally shot by Dorner while stopped at a red light. Crain's partner was also critically injured, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Capital murder charges have since been filed against Dorner for Crain's death and the attempted murder of his partner.
Dorner is believed to be dead after charred remains were located inside a Big Bear cabin Tuesday night following a fire fight with authorities. The remains have yet to be positively identified.
Crain, an Anaheim resident, is survived by his wife and two children, ages 10 and 4.
