Skateboarder Killed In Lake Elsinore Hit-And-Run Crash
LAKE ELSINORE (CBS) — A man riding a skateboard died Sunday following a hit-and-run collision in Lake Elsinore.
The accident in the 1500 block of Lakeshore Drive near Avenue 6 occurred about 6:50 p.m. Saturday.
According to authorities, the victim was struck from behind and suffered major head injuries.
Sheriff's Sgt. Tony Hoxmeier said the victim was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar where he died Sunday.
The suspect vehicle was identified as a Honda sedan.
"The vehicle may have a damaged front passenger side headlamp and side-view mirror, and possible damage to the hood and front windshield," Hoxmeier said. "The vehicle possibly has a modified exhaust system."
