Beach Art Display By Michael Sistig Points To Awareness Of Sustainability
EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) — German artist Michael Sistig has debuted an art display along the shoreline of El Segundo Beach.
The Anti-Ark display featuring an emaciated polar bear sitting atop a large shipping container is expected to remain along the shoreline off Grand Avenue and Vista Del Mar until April 7.
As KNX 1070 Newsradio's Margaret Carrero reports, Sistig says his piece points to an awareness of sustainability.

"All human beings now have to think about this and how we can develop things to live together," Sistig told Carrero.
The art piece also includes a Greek mythology-inspired siren.
Sistig is the first artist in residence at the newly opened El Segundo Museum of Art (ESMoA).
The non-profit art laboratory at 208 Main Street is founded by Eva and Brian Sweeney.
Sistig will be at El Segundo Beach from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 24 to discuss the display, ESMoA reported via Facebook.
