Sinkhole Forces Closure Of Woodland Hills Street
WOODLAND HILLS (CBS) — Heavy rains have created a sinkhole in Woodland Hills prompting a closure of Vanowen Street.
Officials said Vanowen is closed between Mason Avenue and Oso Avenue due to a sinkhole with steel rebar exposed.
The sinkhole is located in the area of the bridge crossing the Los Angeles River flood control channel, says Detective Gus Villanueva of Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.
