60 Freeway Reopens After Shooting Investigation
INDUSTRY (CBS) — The Pomona (60) Freeway near Diamond Bar Boulevard was reopened around 10 a.m. Wednesday following a shooting investigation.
According to officials, a shooting in the La Puente area early Wednesday is connected with a car crash that prompted closure of the eastbound 60 Freeway.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials said a fight between two co-workers led to the shooting at 16468 Valley Boulevard.
One man suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and was grazed by a bullet in the head, sheriff's officials said. He was transported a local hospital for treatment.
Officials say the shooter suffered wounds sustained during the fight. They believe he crashed his car on the 60 Freeway when he lost consciousness.
No arrested have been made as authorities are still investigating the circumstances.
