Sheriff's Deputies Unfazed After Dozens Of Earthquakes Rattle Salton Sea
INDIO (CBS) — There's a whole lotta shakin' going on in the Imperial Valley.
KNX 1070's Tom Reopelle reports a swarm of earthquakes has done little to disrupt the lives of residents and sheriff's deputies.

Two dozen small earthquakes were recorded on Wednesday near the town of Niland along the southeast corner of the Salton Sea.
The biggest of the quakes was a 3.4-magnitude shaker that struck on Feb. 29 at shortly past 9:35 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
But for most residents and county officials in the seismically-active region, the recent series of tremors has had little impact on their daily lives.
"We pretty much roll with the flow, we're somewhat used to it," said Imperial County Sheriff's Sgt. Gerald Pennington.
He also pointed to the frequency of rumblings heard in the area near the El Centro Naval Air Facility located about two hours outside of Palm Springs.
"Here in Niland, we do have a military base just to the east of the community here where they do a lot of practice bombing," he said. "Sometimes [the quakes] get mistaken for that."
Authorities said no damage was reported from any of the earthquakes.
