Shaq Unlikely To Return For Celts Game Vs Clippers
WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) — Celtics coach Doc Rivers says Shaquille O'Neal's foot is still bothering him, pushing back his return to Boston's lineup.
Rivers had hoped to have O'Neal play Wednesday at home against the Clippers. He has been out since Feb. 1, missing 12 games with soreness in his lower right leg and Achilles' tendon.
Rivers does expect to have Delonte West back against Los Angeles. He missed his third straight game Friday with a sprained right ankle.
Glen Davis has patellar tendinitis in his left knee and is expected to miss several more days of practice, while Von Wafer is in a walking boot after injuring his right calf in Friday's win over the Warriors.
All four will miss Sunday night's game in Milwaukee.
The team also said it would not renew center Chris Johnson's 10-day contract.
