Search Continues For Sexual Predator In Santa Ana

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police continued to search Wednesday for a sexual predator who has targeted women in Orange County.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, three women were sexually assaulted over the course of three months.

On Sept. 4, 2015, the suspect approached a woman walking in the area of Raitt Street. He attempted to engage her in conversation, grabbed her, pinned her against a tree and then groped and sexually assaulted her. Police said the victim scratched the man's face, yelled and was able to escape from the area.

On Oct. 7, 2015, a second woman was walking in a parking lot located on South Bristol Street when the suspect began to follow her. The suspect identified himself as Victor and tried to engage the victim in conversation. He then touched and assaulted the woman. When the victim began to scream for help the suspect fled from the area on foot.

The third assault. took place on Jan. 1, according to police. A woman was approached by the man, who once again identified himself as Victor. After he sexually assaulted the woman, she punched him in the face. The man pushed the victim to the ground and ran away from the scene.

During all of the assaults, the suspect followed the victims and attempted to strike up a conversation with them before he sexually assaulted them.

Detectives described the suspect as a man who is believed to be between the ages of 24 and 29-years-old. He is no taller than 5-foot-8 tall and weighs up to 165 pounds.

During one of the attacks, the suspect was seen wearing a white T-shirt that had palm trees on the front of it.

Authorities said the suspect has become increasingly violent in each attack.

The investigation is ongoing.
