Estranged Husband Of Murder Victim Arrested
SANTA MONICA (CBS) — Police in Santa Monica have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed his estranged wife while she was working at an Albertsons grocery store.
Kelvin Green was arrested in connection with the stabbing, which took place Sunday afternoon in the 3100 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Police say his wife, 46-year-old Christina Talley, was working at a check stand when Green approached her from behind and began stabbing her.
Officers arriving at the location found Talley suffering from multiple stab wounds around the head and torso, but she was still conscious.
She was hospitalized in critical condition and died around 2:20 a.m. Monday.
Green was hospitalized, but his condition was not immediately known. Police say he will be charged with murder when he is released.
