Missing Teen Last Seen Dancing In OC Club Has Been Found
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police announced Saturday that a missing teen last seen New Year's eve dancing in an Orange County club has been found.
Lizbeth Mateo, 16, a resident of Kent, Washington was in town visiting relatives.
She had last been around 1:30 a.m. at the El Festival Club in Santa Ana. She told family she was headed to the restroom and never returned to her table.
Mateo was described as Latina, about 5 feet tall and 120 pounds.
Santa Ana Police have launched an extensive search for Mateo including the use of bloodhounds from the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
It was unclear if tips from the public led to police finding Mateo but they said she was located in Anaheim and is being reunited with her family.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her disappearance.
