Search Continues For 2 Missing Washington Boys Last Seen At LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives continued to search Wednesday for two missing Washington boys who were last seen at Los Angeles International Airport in August.

According to the FBI, the Cook brothers -- 15-year-old Sage and 9-year-old Isaac of Bellevue, Washington -- were last seen on Aug. 28 at the airport with their biological mother, Faye Ku, who lives in Lakewood.

Investigators explained Ku is suspected of abducting her sons from their father, who was granted full custody in 2009, after presenting what appeared to be a court-ordered supervised visit from officials in the state of Washington. It remains unclear if the document was legitimate.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Lakewood Station, Ku has been described as a Chinese woman who has black hair and eyes. She stands 5-foot-3 tall and weighs 180 pounds.

Authorities believe the public may be able to identify the brothers based upon unique clothing that was packed in their suitcases.

Sage may be wearing a green T-shirt depicting the "Star Wars" character Darth Vader wearing a flower lei in a tropical location or a black NASA T-shirt showing an equation and the words "be greater than average."

Isaac could possibly be wearing a black T-shirt that has the space shuttle Atlantis on it.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sage and Isaac has been urged to contact the Lakewood Sheriff's Station at (562) 623-3500.
