Schwarzenegger Reportedly Fired Housekeeper 4 Weeks Ago
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's housekeeper threatened to go public with their alleged affair because he fired her, according to Radar Online.
The celebrity news Web site says Schwarzenegger fired Mildred Baena four weeks ago in order to save his crumbling marriage.
However, the Los Angeles Times reports that the 50-year-old maid retired earlier this year after working with the family for 20 years.
TMZ and Radar Online say Baena is the mother of Schwarzenegger's 14-year-old son.
The boy, who was born out of wedlock, was a secret to Maria Shriver until earlier this year.
Shriver was a surprise guest at Oprah Winfrey's farewell show in Chicago Tuesday night. She told Winfrey that she had given her love, support, wisdom, and most of all truth.
Shriver reportedly dined with Winfrey as news was breaking about her husband's affair.
Schwarzenegger reportedly purchased a four-bedroom home for Baena in Bakersfield.
The New York Times says Schwarzenegger never mentioned the situation to aides who helped him win the 2003 recall election.
However, Democratic operatives say there were rumors about an affair with a child he was supporting.
