School Cafeteria Worker Sentenced To Year In Jail For Sex With Student
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A 33-year-old woman who worked in a high school cafeteria in Claremont was sentenced Monday to a year in jail for having sex with a male student.
Vanessa Antonia Tinoco, a Pomona resident, was also sentenced to three years probation by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Wade Olson, who took her no-contest plea to one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse.
Prosecutors said someone at the high school alerted authorities out of concern about interactions between Tinoco and a male student at the school.
The name of the high school and the minor's exact age were not disclosed.
Tinoco had been jailed on $70,000 bail since her Oct. 6 arrest.
