Sanders, Clinton To Hold Events In Southern California This Week

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — The Golden State has a trove of delegates up for grabs - enough to clinch the nominations.

Bernie Sanders is expected to hold a rally Sunday afternoon at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater billed by his campaign as "A Future to Believe In."

He is also set to hold rallies in Lincoln Heights and Santa Monica High School Monday and will make a stop in Riverside Tuesday afternoon at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium.

On Saturday, the 74-year-old was in San Diego County, visiting the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Vermont Democrat said he wanted to draw attention to the importance of immigration reform.

Sanders says he won't drop out of the race even though Hillary Clinton is only 90 delegates away from the nomination.

Meanwhile, Clinton will be back in Southern California this week for a host of events.

The democratic presidential candidate will hold fundraisers in Los Angeles and Riverside Monday and Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning, Clinton will appear with Rep. Karen Bass for a discussion of foster care at the Community Coalition on S. Vermont Avenue, followed by an appearance at a labor rally in Commerce.

She's also expected to attend events at U.C. Riverside, Hancock Park, Orange County, Salinas, and San Jose during the course of the week.

During her previous visits, Clinton held 26 fundraisers, including two during her most recent trip May 5.
