San Diego Police: No Immediate Plans To Interview Kobe Bryant
SAN DIEGO (CBS) — San Diego police now say they have no immediate plans to interview Kobe Bryant after a man claimed he was injured by the Los Angeles Lakers star during a confrontation at a church.
Police say Bryant apparently thought Thomas Hagos, 20, was taking his picture with a cell phone at a Carmel Valley church on Sunday.
Bryant reportedly took the phone from Hagos but saw no pictures on it, then left the church.
Hagos reportedly was treated at an area hospital for a wrist injury.
Officials say Hagos is refusing to talk to detectives until Aug. 24. Police said Wednesday that they will not talk to Bryant until they speak with Hagos first.
Bryant has called the Hagos' allegations "baseless."
