San Bernardino Woman Accused Of Shooting At Men Trying To Repo Her Car
SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — A San Bernardino woman has been arrested on suspicion of firing a gun at people who were repossessing her car.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says 45-year-old Barbara Petersen was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and freed on $50,000 bail.
Investigators say deputies were called to a home by a man who said Petersen shot at him and his partner. They say the woman initially denied firing her gun, then gave conflicting statements.
They say deputies found evidence that Petersen fired in the direction of the men and hit a tire on their truck.
They seized two handguns and two shotguns.
Petersen declined to comment on the allegations Thursday.
