San Bernardino Officer Kills Man During Foot Chase
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Police have shot and killed a man after a foot chase in San Bernardino.
San Bernardino police say officers were responding to a report of a man in a blue shirt carrying a gun on Saturday afternoon.
Police say an officer found a man who matched the description but he started to flee. They say the officer fired shots after the man reached into his waistband while running away.
The man died at the scene of the shooting. He was not identified by police.
Police declined to comment or provide additional details Sunday.
The shooting was reported Saturday night by the Riverside Press-Enterprise.
