San Bernardino Man Suspected of Killing His Son and Torturing His Wife And Four Children
SAN BERNARDINO (AP) – A man has been arrested after deputies responding to a 911 call found his teenage son dead and his wife and four other children injured in their Southern California home.
According to the Sheriff's department, 35-year-old Ian Roderiquez was booked into jail Wednesday on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and torture. His son, 16-year-old Richard Roderiquez was pronounced dead at the scene and his 35-year-old wife, Sujal Roderiquez was hospitalized in critical condition. Investigators couldn't confirm reports that the victims were stabbed.
The other four children, ages 8 to 13, who are expected to survive will be placed in protective custody after they are released from the hospital.
Authorities were still trying to determine the exact cause of the victims' injuries.
