San Bernardino City Unified School District Hiring 400 Workers

SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — San Bernardino City Unified School District plans to fill more than 400 jobs with willing applicants by the end of the school year. This is the first employment opportunity the district's Personnel Commission has processed in more than four years.

A dispute between the San Bernardino City Unified School District's administration and the independent Personnel Commission blocked any new hires - except teachers and administrators, which follow a different hiring process - until the district relented in October and accepted the commission's choice for personnel director.

Officials said 65 cafeteria workers will be hired. The cafeteria positions pay an hourly wage between $10.90 and $13.26, for two to six hours per week, according to the job posting.

The district will have more than 300 jobs openings over the next few months. For more information on the job listings and application process, click here.
