Actor Ryan Reynolds To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Actor Ryan Reynolds will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday morning.
At 11:30 a.m., Reynolds will be awarded with the 2,596th star in front of the Hollywood & Highland complex on Hollywood Boulevard.
His achievement comes three days after being nominated for a Golden Globe award for his performance in "Deadpool."
Anna Faris, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will join Reynolds in speaking during the ceremony.
Faris co-starred with Reynolds in the 2005 comedies "Just Friends" and "Waiting..."
Reese and Wernick wrote the screenplay for "Deadpool." They also wrote the screenplay for his next film, a science fiction thriller "Life," which is set to be released March 24.
Reynolds began his career in 1991 when he starred in the Canadian-produced teen soap opera "Hillside," which aired in the U.S. as "Fifteen" on Nickelodeon.
He has starred in other films such as "Woman in Gold"; "Safe House"; "The Change Up"; "The Proposal"; "Green Lantern"; and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."
Reynolds is married to actress Blake Lively. The couple has two children.
