Rodgers Short On Words When Describing Favre
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- On the list of Aaron Rodgers' accomplishments in three seasons as the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback, one stands out: He made Brett Favre an afterthought in Green Bay.
Going into Sunday's NFC championship game against the rival Bears in Chicago, Rodgers is the undisputed new face of the franchise.
His success in the playoffs is winning over anybody who still had doubts about his place among the NFL's elite quarterbacks.
Favre was complimentary to Rodgers and the Packers in a recent e-mail to ESPN, but Rodgers isn't particularly interested in talking about his predecessor.
Rodgers' response to Favre's comments was positive but brief, saying it's "quite an honor."
