Riding The Apple Rollercoaster In 2010
If it were only a matter of profits, then Apple, Inc. CEO Steve Jobs would be having the best year of almost any CEO ever.
The year started with what was at that time the best product launch in the company's history with the iPad. Then came a leaked iPhone prototype, and that kinda hurt Steve's feelings — until Apple launches the iPhone 4G to record sales, the company's most successful launch ever.
But wait, hold on, not so fast. Then comes "antennagate," and Steve, amidst record profits, has to sit in front of the world and eat a little crow while explaining that the cell reception is really not as bad as everyone (including an un-recommending Consumer Reports staff) thinks it is. Apple isn't trying to mess with everyone's tech high.
