(GreenLife Medical Systems, LLC.) The following is a response by GreenLife Medical Systems, LLC. to our undercover investigation, Marijuana Cards Being Sold Without Doctors' 'OK'.
Dear CBS and it's viewers,
We are GreenLife Medical Systems, LLC. We provide an electronic medical record system and accompanying verification service to doctors in the state of California called GreenLife Docs. We are disappointed to hear of the policies and procedures of the clinics that were exposed by CBS and their investigative report. These clinics appear to be in violation of California law, as well as the contract with GreenLife, which explicitly requires adherence to California law in order to use our system. We also require a copy of each medical license to be on file with GreenLife before the system is made available to any clinic.
GreenLife is contacting all of our clients to remind them of the appropriate use of the system, and to reiterate that violation of our contract is grounds for immediate termination. We have issued formal statements to the clinics in the CBS report with a first and only warning, and with a termination letter that will go into effect should the violation of our contract continue.
We want to stress that these clinics do NOT represent our company, our policies, nor the great number of physicians that rely on GreenLife to be the custodian of medical records and who practice in accordance with California law. We do not want these few clinics to blemish the good practices of everyone else, nor our good name.
