Reseda Man Arrested In Alleged Rape Of Woman In Hollywood Parking Lot
HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A 23-year-old Reseda man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly raping a woman in the parking lot of the ArcLight movie theater in Hollywood, police said.
Police were notified of the alleged attack in the 1400 block of Ivar Avenue about 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a Los Angeles police statement.
Initial reports indicated that the victim, who is in her 20s, was accosted by five men, but Wednesday's announcement indicated that Chris Cordoza of Reseda, acted alone. He was taken into custody Tuesday at his work in the 8900 block of Wilshire Boulevard.
The woman told a friend of the attack and that person called authorities. The woman was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to call LAPD Detective Kathleen Roditis at (213) 473-0447.
