Reported Kidnapping, Shooting At Miley Cyrus Home Turns Out To Be Hoax
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Police and firefighters responded to a reported kidnapping and shooting at the Studio City home of entertainer Miley Cyrus Wednesday but later learned the call was a hoax.
Police arrived at 6:50 p.m. at the home in the 11000 block of Amanda Drive but within 30 minutes officers determined the 911 call was a hoax and no one was home.
If the person making the call is found, the penalties can be severe, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Karen Rayner said.
Suraya Fadel, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said police have not been in touch with Cyrus.
There has been no response from Cyrus or a spokesperson.
