Report: Officer Attacked In Burbank And Transported To Hospital

BURBANK (CBSLA.com)   —  Officials in Burbank report that a police officer was attacked this evening.

Details were sketchy but Sky2 was overhead when a person was seen being placed in an ambulance and transported to a nearby hospital.

Desmond Shaw reporting in Sky2 said Burbank Police and Burbank Fire were both dispatched to the scene, "an assault of some kind."

The incident played out at Providencia and Glenoaks, authorities said.

There was no word about the officer's condition or if a suspect was in custody. There was an unconfirmed report that the person placed in the ambulance was unconscious but breathing.

At 11:30 p.m. officials said the scene was stable.
