Remembering 9/11: Ten Years Later
Ten years have passed since the attacks of 9/11 and local residents directly affected by those events speak out in a special Eye on Our Community this Sunday with Laura Diaz at 6:30 p.m. on CBS2. Diaz also talks to the head of counter terrorism for LAPD, Deputy Chief Michael Downing about future attacks. The CBS2 anchor takes a moment to talk to local high school students about how they see the world growing up since 9/11.
Kevin Danni of South Pasadena talks about how he survived the attacks at the World Trade Center. Rancho Santa Margarita's Tom Frost shares the life of his daughter he lost in the second plane that hit the Towers and the global support he has received honoring her memory. Brad Burlingame reveals what he has learned of his brother's death as the pilot of the plane that hit the Pentagon.
Susan Hartzler links with her friend and local fire fighter Jorge Ostrovsky, who is part of the Ride for 9/11. She'll join the cyclists riding across the country honoring those lost in the attacks, including her mentor and best friend, actress, photographer Berry Berenson Perkins, wife of the late actor Anthony Perkins.
