Redondo Beach Teen Survives Plane Crash In Mexico
REDONDO BEACH (CBS) — A local teenager is one of three survivors in a small plane crash in Mexico over the weekend.
Liam Guzman, 15, of Redondo Beach, survived the crash Saturday near El Fuerte, Mexico. He was on a volunteer medical trip with his father.
The pilot died in the accident and two other teens were also injured.
Guzman and a 17-year-old San Diego girl are listed in good condition and are expected to be released from a Mexican hospital this week.
A third victim, also a female from San Diego, remained in critical condition Monday.
Guzman's father, who is a doctor, was on a separate plane at the time of the crash.
