Redondo Beach Man Found Guilty Of Murdering Cori Desmond, 28
SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — A jury found a Redondo Beach man guilty Tuesday in the murder of 28-year-old Cori Desmond.
The jury deliberated for less than a day before reaching a verdict.
Tony Lopez-Perez bowed his head as the verdict was read.
Desmond disappeared on Valentine's Day in 2009 after she left the Backstreet bar in Redondo Beach. The bartender was found dead a few days later in the San Bernardino mountains.
The jury deliberated for less than a day.
Perez will be sentenced in September.
